Lovi Poe And Jennylyn Mercado Catfight Scene In New Movie Took Four Hours To Shoot

LOVI POE and Jennylyn Mercado get to work together in a movie for the first time in “The Bride and the Lover”, Regal’s special summer presentation that opens on May 1 and took Director Joel Lamangan almost a year to finish to make sure it’s something that will entertain viewers of all ages.

“Lovi and Jen start as good friends pero nasira ang friendship nila dahil sa isang lalaki, si Paulo Avelino,” says Direk Joel. “Masaya ang pelikula, pero may drama rin, and I’m happy na very cooperative ang buong cast lalo na sa sensitive sexy love scenes. Suwerte si Paulo rito as he gets to romance both Lovi and Jen. Viewers should watch out for the catfight scene na nagkapisikalan talaga nang husto sina Lovi at Jen habang nag-aaway over Paulo. I told them husayin na nila nang walang take 2 at tinotoo nila kaya nagkasakitan talaga sila. It took us all of four hours to shoot their fight but we’re all very happy over the outcome of that scene. Makikita naman on screen na hindi nila fine-fake ang awayan nila.”

Also in the cast are Hayden Kho, Joem Bascom, Carmi Martin, Ariel Ureta, Boboy Garovillo, Timmy Cruz, Alex Castro, Ahron Villena, Carlo Gonzales, Cai Cortez and Snooky Serna, introducing Carla Dunareanu, the Romanian-Singaporean girlfriend of Christian Bautista who’s venturing into local showbiz.
