More & More Big Stars Doing Indie Films

MORE and more big stars are being convinced to do indie films. After Gov. Vilma Santos in “Ekstra, The Bit Player” directed by Jeffrey Jeturian, Gretchen Barretto is now shooting “The Diplomat Hotel” on location in Baguio directed by Chris Ad. Castillo (son of the late Celso Kid) and Lorna Tolentino is doing “The Edith Burgos Story” (mom of desparecido J

onas Burgos, with Rocco Nacino as Jonas) directed by Joel Lamangan. Cesar Montano was earlier convinced by Director Adolf Alix to appear in his Cinemalaya entry, “Porno”, but he backed out at the last minute and they’re still looking for his replacement.
