OGIE ALCASID is hosting a new show on GMA-7, “Bonakid Pre-School Ready Get Set Laban”. Will this be his last show before his big switch to TV5?
“I really don’t know,” he says. “My contract with GMA-7 ends in June. Basta as of now, I’m still here, I’m still a Kapuso.”
We heard Ogie first show’s on TV5 is already being prepared, “Tropang Kulit”, that echoes the gag show he used to do with them before, “Tropang Trumpo”, before he moved to GMA-7 to do “Bubble Gang”. But he won’t confirm or deny that either.
Ogie himself composed the The Bonakid show’s campaign jingle. It will run for only 8 weeks, a partnership between GMA and Wyeth Nutrition. It starts airing on Saturday, April 20 before “Eat Bulaga”. The kid contestants were auditioned on March 15 and 400 came with their moms to join the game show that has a safe custom-built obstacle course. Two teams will compete with each week, with the winning team getting as much as P100,000 cash and the losing team, P15,000. After 7 weeks, there’ll be a grand finale. Camille Prats and her son Nathan is competing in the show. She’s also Bonakid Pre-school’s official ambassadress in mall shows. Senior Product Manager Aubrey Inigo says: “The show is in line with Bonakid Pre-School’s commitment to help moms empower their kids so that they’ll have the energy and confidence to conquer any challenge.”
