“Two years ago, I also did this,” she says. “Nag-soul searching ako, so sanay na ko mag-travel mag-isa. This time, I went to the shrine of Padre Pio in Italy since I’m a devotee. I prayed for healing to get rid of all the bitterness and anger in my heart. Gusto kong mabuo uli. May nakilala kong mga madre from Davao at napag-isipan ko to join them sa loob ng kumbento, but they told me to just return to Manila at ipagdarasal na lang daw nila ako. Sa tulong ng dasal, okay na ko ngayon. Nalampasan ko ang isang sad chapter in my life. At sobrang blessings ang naging kapalit dahil naging very busy ako pagbalik ko rito.”
Upon her return, she shot the movie “On the Job” as the wife of Piolo Pascual, directed by Erik Matti. “Suwerte, nakuha kami sa Cannes Filmfest. And after that, isinama ako sa ‘Juan de la Cruz’. Makaka-love triangle ako nina Coco Martin and Erich Gonzales. I play Princess Mira from the world ng mga engkanto. I came to Earth to save our world at na-meet ko nga si Coco as Juan. This is the second time we work together kasi nagkasama kami sa movie na ‘Sa’Yo Lamang’. Ako yung babaeng nabuntis niya roon, tapos ayaw niyang panagutan. Okay naman silang kasama ni Erich. Si Erich even went to the dressing room to personally welcome me. Magaan silang katrabaho lahat sa set.”
She’s now being linked to Piolo Pascual. Does this mean she has fallen in love anew? It’s even rumored that she visits him in his condo in Makati.
“We’re good friends dahil nagkasama kami sa ‘On the Job’, we run and play badminton together, but we’re not on. Takot pa kong pumasok uli sa isang relasyon. I’m praying na matanggal nga sana yung fear ko to get into another relationship. Pag nawala na yung takot na yun, doon pa lang ako tatanggap ng bagong suitors and I’m really praying dumating sana ang right guy for me. Being so busy helped me in my healing. Sundays, nasa ASAP ako. MWF, I tape for ‘Juan de la Cruz’ then TThS, I shoot another new movie na wala pang title. Directed by Cathy Molina Garcia, kapatid ko rito sina Angel Locsin, Bea Alonzo and Toni Gonzaga. Si Enchong Dee ang youngest and only brother namin and the story is about him getting married at uunahan pa kaming sisters niya.”
