Andrea used to be managed solely by Triple A of Tony Tuviera, the same company that now handles Marian Rivera. But she has also signed up with GMA Artist Center to be her co-manager. “With them as my managers, I expect na mas mapu-push, mas may patutunguhang magandang direction ang career ko dahil mas maaalagaan ako,” she says.
How did she feel upon learning that Marian is now also with Triple A? “I was surprised. Binati ko na siya. We’re friends kasi nagkasama na kami sa ‘My Beloved’ at siya pang naunang bumati sa’kin sa set. Binigyan pa ko ng chocolates.”
Didn’t she get bored while waiting for her next assignment after “Sana”? “Hindi naman, kasi panay ang guestings ko. I did the role of a transgender, a lesbian, in ‘Magpakailanman’, and a dying girl opposite Alden Richards in ‘Wagas’. Nahirapan ako roon sa lesbian role kasi hindi siya basta tomboy lang kundi acting lalaki talaga, so I had to change my voice, pati lakad ko, kilos ko. Tuloy-tuloy rin ang guestings ko sa regional shows ng GMA. I’ve travelled all over the country na from Vigan to Legaspi to Cebu to Pagadian and Davao. I can feel na inaalagaan naman ako ng GMA so kontento ako rito.”
