“Maganda role ko in ‘Cassandra’ as a cop assigned to investigate the strange happenings in our community,” he says. “Ako lang ang naniniwala about the malignos around us so pinagtatawanan ako ng mga kasamahan kong pulis. Si Eula Caballero as Cassandra ang pinagbibintangan kong culprit sa heinous crimes na nangyayari, without knowing siya pala yung Warrior Angel na kalaban ng mga maligno. First time ko to play a cop at enjoy akong magsuot ng police uniform. Sa ‘Nomine Matris’, I play one of the two sons of flamenco teacher Clara Ramona. Both my brother, Ed Gatmaitan, and I fall in love with Liza Dino na student ng mother namin. In my efforts na mapansin ni Liza, I also take flamenco lessons but I’m not good at it.”
He’s currently on with GMA actress Vaness del Moral, now being seen in “Indio”. They’ve been on for three years but no wedding plans yet. “Siya na pinakamatagal kong naka-on. Before her was Roxanne Barcelo, 1 year kami and Alessandra de Rossi, 2 years naman.”
Biboy has also finished an Indonesian horror movie, “Hantu”. “Hantu is an Indonesian word that means ghost. Mostly theatre actors ang kasama ko. I’m also in the indie movie ‘Maestra’, directed by Joven Tan and a tribute to teachers. It stars Tita Perla Bautista as a teacher na nagka-alzheimer’s disease. Ako yung apo niyang kinulong siya dahil ulyanin na siya. This will have a special screening in June sa Beirut as fund-raiser for a sick child. Sasama sana nila ko roon but then busy ako sa taping dito ng ‘Cassandra’ so I can’t leave.”
