“Nami-miss ko rin ang acting but I also enjoy hosting,” she says. “But bibigyan na raw ako ng bagong teleserye soon. Hindi pa lang alam kung gagawing kontrabida o mabait ang character na gagampanan ko. I’m also doing a movie, ‘Burgos’, with Direk Joel Lamangan. I play the eldest daughter of Mrs. Edith Burgos, played by Lorna Tolentino. I’m glad to be working again with Ms. LT kasi the last time na nakatrabaho ko siya was in the soap pa na ‘Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay’ ten years ago.”
A new batch of i-Shiners is launched in “Promil Pre-School i-Shine Talent Camp 2” that aims to discover the most talented pre-schoolers in the country. It’s now bigger and better, divided into three main performing categories: singing, dancing and acting. The top scorers win P200,000 in cash each. The Grand i-Shiner, the participant with the highest marks, win P300,000 more in cash, Star Magic and Promil Pre-School Talent contracts and 1-year supply of Promil Pre-School.
This year, the mentors are led by award-winning actor Piolo Pascual, stage actress Pinky Amador ang G-Force founder and choreographer Georcelle Dapat. They’ll mold contestants aged from 3 to 7 years old. "Promil Pre-School's i-Shine Talent Camp 2" premieres on June 8, right before “Please Be Careful With My Heart Rewind” on ABS-CBN.
Will Dimples be willing to let her own daughter Cal to join the show? “Yes, but she’s 9 na, so di na qualified. Also, hindi showbiz ang hilig niya but sports and athletics. We’re hoping ng husband ko na sundan na siya this year as we’re celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary next month.”
