JOLO REVILLA was seen in the start of “Indio” as a warrior. Now, as “Indio” ends this coming week, he’ll appear again as Antonio, the grown up son of Indio or Malaya, played by his own dad Sen. Bong Revilla, and Esperanza (Jennylyn Mercado). He’s glad to be part of the epic serye’s concluding episodes.
“Na-miss ko rin umarte,” he says. “Kasi this had to take a backseat while I was busy campaigning as Cavite vice governor.”
It’s common knowledge his opponent is the brother of Pampi Lacson, the ex-hubby of his current inamorata, Jodi Sta.Maria, and he and his family were subjected to some bad experiences during the campaign. “Ayoko na pag-usapan yan. Anyway, me and Gov. Jonvic Remulla won, so let’s all just start on a clean slate. Hindi naman kami narito para makipag-away kundi para maglingkod sa mga Caviteno.”
Jolo will have his oath-taking in late June and will assume office at the Cavite Capitol on July 1. But before that, he’ll go with his dad to the U.S. as part of the GMA Pinoy TV delegation in the Philippine Independence Day celebration there. Will Jodi join him? “I don’t know. Kagagaling lang niya doon by that time because of their ‘Be Careful with My Heart’ tour. When they get back, I’m sure they’ll be busy catching up with their taping.”
Sen. Bong has no objections on the romance of Jolo with Jodi. “Very positive ang influence ni Jodi sa kanya. Mas inspired siya, hindi mainitin ang ulo, very positive ang aura.”
How will Bong describe his experience doing an epicserye like ‘Indio’? “We’ve been taping since September and definitely, nakakapagod, but then, very fulfilling naman kasi it’s well accepted by viewers anywhere I go. Nagmamarka talaga sa puso at utak nila ang exploits ni Indio. I’m glad that the first TV drama I did is something as big as ‘Indio’. I will treasure all the good memories I made while taping the show. As the show ends, Indio’s power finally gets stronger. The diwatas led by Rhian Ramos as Magayon grant him their blessings to increase his powers. But his enemies get stronger as well so magandang abangan ang salpukan ng two opposing forces. Will Indio’s power be strong enough to free everyone from the hands of their oppressors? Yan ang abangan nyo sa finale episodes dahil talagang very thrilling and explosive ito.”
“Indio” airs Monday to Friday, after 24 Oras on GMA Telebabad.
