Mother Lily As The Mother Of All Victorious Senatoriables

MOTHER LILY MONTEVERDE has so far hosted presscons for Grace Poe, Sen. Loren Legarda, Bam Aquino, Riza Hontiveros, Chiz Escudero, Allan Cayetano, Cynthia Villar, and Antonio Trillanes. The latest she’s endorsing are Sen. Koko Pimentel, Cong. Sonny Angara and Sen. Gringo Honasan. That’s a total of 11 candidates so far. Wonder who’ll be the lucky 12th for her to complete her senatorial slate.

Sen. Koko calls her “The Mother Of All Victorious Senatoriables”. Mother Lily also endorsed him when he ran in 2007. “But as we all know, I was cheated kaya mahigit one year na lang ako nakapaglingkod sa senado,” he says.

Has he forgiven Migz Zubiri who took his place then? “I have forgiven him. In my TV ads, I’m condemning the act of pandaraya, not him. But then, nung bigla kaming pinagsabay na guests in a TV show, pinagsasabong kami and that’s when he said my estranged wife (former beauty queen Jewel Lobaton), nagreklamo raw for being a battered wife. But Jewel herself defended me, saying she never complained to Migz so he apologized to me.”

What’s he doing to insure he won’t be cheated this time? “I asked the Comelec to do mock elections to make sure okay ang machines nila, but hindi ako pinagbigyan. But I still prefer automated elections kasi mas mabilis ang bilangan. Sa manual, it takes so long to count at doon nangyayari ang magic sa dayaan.”

Mother Lily says she’s supporting Koko for his impressive legislative record and his performance as a senator judge in the impeachment court. “I know he’ll really make a big difference in the senate.”
