Tom Rodriguez Leaves Abs-Cbn To Play Carla Abellana's Gay Husband In Gma-7'S New Soap

TOM RODRIGUEZ has been chosen to play the role of Carla Abellana’s closet queen husband in the new GMA-7 soap, "My Husband's Lover", that will replace “Love and Lies”. Tom has left his ABS-CBN soap, “Be Careful with My Heart”, where he plays a man who romanced a lesbian, Aiza Seguerra. So this time, he’ll now be in a gay relationship with Dennis Trillo.

Tom used to be managed by ABS but he’s now under Popoy Caritativo, also the manager of Dennis. When Tom was discovered in PBB four years ago, people were saying he has the makings of a top leading man. He was quickly paired with Angelica Panganiban in the big hit “Here Comes the Bride” and with Marian Rivera in “Temptation Island”. But sadly, there was no follow up project after this on TV, where he just played supporting roles.

He was even launched as a singer in BoysVoyz on ASAP and landed a lead role in the musical “Aladdin” on stage. Now that he’s with GMA-7, here’s hoping he’ll get better treatment and better breaks as a lead actor so he can finally achieve the stardom that we believe he deserves.
