TV5 Creative Director Mac Alejandre Bares Programming Plans Of The Kapatid Network

MAC ALEJANDRE is in Misibis Bay, not as a director but as the creative head of the business unit producing the show led by Marge Enriquez, with Camille Montano as unit manager. They also handle the kiddie show “Tropang Kulit” and the recently concluded “Never Say Goodbye” and “Boracay Bodies”.

“We’re glad Ian Varona, general manager of Misibis Bay, and marketing supervisor Paul Garcia agreed to partner with us to do ‘Misibis Bay’ as a mini-series shot here,” says Mac. “Our aim is to come up with a show that’s so fast-paced viewers will not know what hit them sa bilis ng mga nangyayari. Just like what we did in ‘Boracay Bodies’, this is part of our plan to help promote tourism in our country.”

Ian Varona says they put up Misibis Bay Resort to develop Bicol as a main tourist destination. “As a result of this, in Berlin, Albay was already proclaimed as the preferred tourist destination for summer,” he adds.

What are the other plans of TV5? “After Ritz, we’re also launching Artista Academy recruits Chanel Morales, Akihiro Blanco, Mark Neumann and Shaira Mae. We’re also planning to do a sitcom and an epic soap. Aside from Marge, the other business unit heads are Joann Banaga who’s doing the TV movie with Nora Aunor and Tirso Cruz III, Edlyn Abuel who’s doing ‘Cassandra: Warrior Angel’ and Anthony Pastorfide. Meron na ring bagong project si Sharon Cuneta. You can really feel there’s a movement coming na yayanig sa industriya in the months to come.”
