BY THE TIME you read this, we will be in Misibis Bay in Legaspi, Albay to cover the taping of TV5’s new mini-series, “Misibis Bay”, starring Christopher de Leon, Ritz Azul, Megan Young, Daniel Matsunaga, Vin Abrenica, Victor Silayan, Luke Jickain, plus Boots Anson Roa and Vivian Velez, directed by Monti Parungao and Jon Red.
Seventy percent of the story will be taking place in that beautiful resort under the shadow of the majestic Mayon Volcano, so the whole cast will stay there for two weeks to tape everything. We will be there with other writers invited by TV over the weekend and we’ll report about our stay there when we come back.
Understandably, it’s Ritz Azul who’s the most excited about this project as it will serve as her launching. While her rival as TV5 Princess, Eula Caballero, is launched in an action-fantasy like “Cassandra: Warrior Angel”, her ticket to stardom is a sexy drama like “Misibis Bay”. In the story, she plays a bar dancer who marries a very rich man, Boyet de Leon, who quickly dies. She’s left a very wealthy young widow and Boyet’s three sons (Daniel, Vin and Victor) then all have the hots for her. Who will she choose?
“I’m happy pero siempre, kinakabahan po ako kasi napakalaking project nito at puro magagaling ang mga kasama ko,” she says. “I promise to give my all para sa project na ito at sana, panoorin ng tao kapag ipinalabas na sa ere.”
