RICKY DAVAO gets to test his patience directing kids in “Mga Basang Sisiw” that starts airing today after “Eat Bulaga”, replacing “Unforgettable”. “Very challenging talaga to work with kids, specially the youngest member of our cast, si Miko Zarsadias who’s only 5 years old. You really have to guide them, lalo si Miko. Siempre, titimplahin mo kung nasa mood ba siya, pagod na ba. Magastos lang sa chocolates at chicheria. Pero lahat sila nina Renz Valerio, Bianca Umali, Kimberly Faye and Hershey Garcia, inaalagaan ng buong production staff. Doon sa scene na nag-crash sa dagat ang plane na kinalululanan nilang lima along with their mom, Lani Mercado, bawat isa sa kanila, may diver na naka-assign to insure their safety. Sa set, may acting coach din assigned to them para masiguradong magaling ang acting nila.”
In the story, Lani is married to Raymond Bagatsing and they’re happy with their five kids. But Maxene Magalona makes Lani believe that Raymond is having an affair with her, so the jealous Lani leaves their home with all the kids. When their plane crashed, Lani goes missing and the five kids wander in the streets as homeless children, earning the monicker “Mga Basang Sisiw”.
