Jackie Forster's Two Sons With Benjie Paras Haven't Forgiven Her For Her Sins Against Them

THE TWO sons of Benjie Paras with Jackie Forster, Andre (named after tennis player Andre Agassi) and Kobe (named after cager Kobe Bryant), were interviewed with him in “Startalk” two Saturdays ago, along with his new wife Lysenne Diomampo, a teacher and former TV ad model, and their two kids, a boy and a girl. The public response was great so the two teeners guested again last Saturday, live and in person this time. Both are heartthrob material and girls are swooning over them, so we won’t be surprised if GMA-7 would sign them up, especially now that they lack enough good leading men.

Andre is 17, a UP freshman majoring in filmmaking and a member of the UP Maroons. Kobe is 15 and is with La Salle Greenhills, also a member of their basketball team. Both stand 6’5” like their dad. Andre is also a rapper and he showed his rapping skills in “Sunday All Stars”. They’re both aware that it will be tough to follow in the footsteps of their dad, the only PBA player who won both the Rookie of the Year and the Most Valuable Player of the Year awards in a single season, in 1989.

About their estranged mom, Jackie Forster, Lolit told them Jackie has expressed her wish to see them. How do they feel about this?

It’s Andre who answered: “We just want her to respect our request to give us space. Na-traumatized kami sa mga ginawa niya before and it took us a long time to move on. So just give us space.”

They both then professed their love for their Mommy Lysenne, who was there in the studio with them quietly seating on the sidelights, as shown by the camera. This makes it clear that it’s not Benjie himself who’s preventing their sons to see Jackie, who now has her own husband and kids. It’s the boys who refuse to see her. It must be very painful for Jackie to learn that it’s her own kids who have chosen not to see her at all. What with her kids profusely paying tribute to their stepmom at that. The question on everyone’s mind is: what is Jackie’s “atraso” to her sons? We asked around and what we’re told will not be favourable for Jackie so we’d rather not write about it anymore. We’re just praying that the two boys will eventually realize that forgiveness is better than staying bitter all their lives.
