JC De Vera And Manager Annabelle Rama Officially Part Ways

AT THE debut of Eula Caballero, JC De Vera came with a moustache and a goatee. Honestly, it doesn’t become him. He looks older than his age and when he stood up on stage with other TV5 actors like Martin Escudero and Mark Neumann, he looked like their uncle. But JC said he can’t shave off his facial hair as it’s part of his role as the Angel Gabriel who helps Eula in his fight against malignos in “Cassandra: Warrior Angel”.

JC says he’s not sure if he’s leaving Annabelle Rama as manager. “Wala pa akong final decision,” he says. “Nag-usap na kami and I said I wanted time out from her. Naging emosyonal nga kami, but I said gusto ko lang ng growth.”

Yesterday, Annabelle herself confirmed that she’s letting JC go. She said it’s TV5 who didn’t want to renew JC’s contract anymore as he wants it to be a guaranteed one, meaning, he’ll be paid even if he has no shows. Given the kind of cost-cutting the Kapatid network is doing now, we doubt if they'll agreed with this kind of arrangement. Annabelle said TV5 did everything for JC in the three years that he was with them, giving him drama, action and comedy shows.

“E, wala, hindi pa rin sumikat. Hindi na siguro kasalanan ng manager yun. Pero mabait na bata yang si JC. Baka suwertihin siya sa iba namang manager,” she said.

As of now, JC is also doing comedy in “Lokomoko U” aside from doing drama in “Cassandra”. Let’s see where he’s going after these shows have ended. Would GMA-7 be willing to take him back again after he left them?
