“I thank God for making me experience that as I realized a lot of good things and for healing me,” she says. “Okay na ako but I remain very careful. May cut off pa rin ako sa taping para maka-rest din naman ako nang maayos.”
She has a very positive attitude in life and sees her husband’s losing in the election as God’s way of telling him that politics is not for him. “Kung ako lang talaga, ayoko siyang magpulitika, pero dahil gusto niya, sinuportahan ko siya. But siya rin, meron siyang mga bagay at kalakarang hindi matanggap about it. So I guess, ngayon, titigilan na niya and he’s back to acting.”
How’s it acting with GMA-7’s Tween stars? “Marami kaming eksena together nina Barbie, Krystal and Joyce kasi, silang tatlo, titira sa bahay namin ni Juan Rodrigo while we’re trying to discover kung sino sa kanila ang tunay na ‘Anna Karenina’. Okay naman sila, professional lahat, they love their work at magagaling din umarte so magaan ang trabaho naming lahat with our director, my kumareng Gina Alajar.”
Their son Gabriel has joined showbiz as part of GMA-7’s teen show, “Teen Gen”. Their daughter, Mariel, a finalist in the recent Bb. Pilipinas pageant, will also join showbiz. “She’s now managed by Boy Abunda. Sabi namin sa mga anak, seryosohin nila ang trabaho nila. Kami naman ng dad will always be here to support them.”
“Anna Karenina” starts airing tomorrow after “24 Oras”, replacing “Indio”.
