EULA CABALLERO had a late celebration of her 18th birthday at Oasis Events Place on Aurora Blvd. last Thursday night. Her birthday is really on May 23 yer but she’s so busy then. TV5 is obviously giving her so much importance for them to host and spend on such an expensive affair for her. And why not? She’s the winner in their first artista search, Star Factor, and they have already given her so many shows: “Luv Crazy”, “Bagets: Just Got Lucky”, “The Sisters”, “Nandito Ako”, “Sa Ngalan ng Ina”, “Never Say Goodbye”, “Third Eye”, “Enchanted Garden” and her biggest project so far, “Cassandra: Warrior Angel”.
Everyone was asked to come in black and only Eula was in a figure hugging white gown designed by Arielle Agasang. The program was ably hosted by Divine Lee and instead of the usual 18 Treasures and 18 Roses, Eula’s female 18 friends gave her charms called 18 Fortunes while the guys were called 18 Warriors. Among them were her colleagues in Star Factor: Morisette Amon, Nikita McElroy, Rico de la Paz and her rumored boyfriend Christian Samson (who called her his best friend and travel buddy); also Artista Academy recruits Marvelous Alejo, Brent Manzano and Benjo Leoncio. The others were JC De Vera, Martin Escudero, Valeen Montenegro, Empoy Marquez, Gerard Sison, Albie Casino, Aki Torio, Josh Padilla, former child star Ella Guevarra who’s now 14 years old, Rodjun Cruz and pretty girlfriend Diane Medina.
Among the other guests were TV5 exec Perci Intalan, Eric Quizon (her director in “Cassandra” who delivered the opening prayer), Direk Mac Alejandre, Artista Academy’s Mark Neumann and Alberto Bruno, line producers Joann Banaga, Lea Calmerin and Edlynn Abuel and Eula’s mom who’s just been elected as a councilor in their town in Cebu.
And what’s Eula’s birthday wish? “Iisa lang, sana maging hit ang ‘Cassandra: Warrior Angel’ kasi talagang this is the biggest project given to me by TV5,” she says. “I also want to thank them for supporting these past three years na napunta ko sa showbiz. I’m really nervous but with my family, friends and TV5 to support me, I’m thankful for everything that has happened in my life so far and I know the future will a brighter one for me.”
Last week in “Cassandra”, Eula’s wings have already sprung and she’s now ready to fight the evil malignos working under her evil uncle, Azrael (Gabby Concepcion).
