She has directed many love teams before. What does she think of the Kim Chiu-Xian Lim tandem that she’s handling for the first time? “They have good chemistry. Pero nasanay kasi ko sa mga leading men who fall in love with their ka-love team during the shooting at hindi ko sila nakita na nagkaganoon. What they have is a deep friendship that they don’t want to share with other kundi para sa kanilang dalawa lang. And that’s when I realize na puede pala yung ganoon. Unique nga sila. They just act naturally on the set. Xian eats lahat ng pagkaing natitira ni Kim. Ano ba yun? Ganun sila ka-at home sa isa’t isa. But you can see their respect for each other.”
Kim herself attests to this. “I really appreciate yung respeto niya sa buong pamilya namin. Yung willingness niya to wait, to know me more. I can feel he understands me and that’s very important kasi not a lot of people understand me. He always has a ready ear to listen. When I have a problem, I consult him, pakikinggan niya talaga and then he gives me his inputs.”
