The other members of the band are Rye Sarmiento (guitars) and Bob Cañamo (bass) who are members of 6Cyclemind, Lem Belaro (synth) who’s also with Callalily and Berns Cuevas (bass) and Otep Concepcion (drums), seasoned sessionistas. They have the same manager as 6Cyclemind and Callalily so it’s easy for their members to move around from one band to another.
Their debut album is titled “Only in the Philippines” and has nine original tracks: “Eric Clapsong,” “Experto,” “Discolamon,” “Bawal sa Gamot,” “Umay,” Teach Me How to Disco,” “Mahal Kita Pramis,” “Walang Wala,” and “Darating,” plus a disco remixe of “Discolamon”. Kleggy is the best friend of Kean Cipriano of Callalily and it’s Kean who told him to form his own band. They collaborated on an entry in the recent Philpop competition, the song “Space”.
“Hindi pa ko nagbabanda, fan na ko ni Kean. Sumasama ko sa gigs niya, pinapanood ko sila. I owe him a lot as he’s the one who encouraged me kaya nandito ako ngayon. Sabi niya, darating ang araw, magja-jam kami, at nangyari nga. He’s really my mentor. Dahil din sa kanya kaya nakilala ko yung mga kasama ko sa banda ngayon,” adds Kleggy.
He describes their kind of music as “Jolly pop”. “When you hear our music, you’ll feel jolly. Ang saya mo, kaya jolly pop ito, lalo na kung bibili ka ng album namin.”
