TWO SETS of gays will perform together in their own respective concerts. On August 2 and 3, BB Gandanghari and John “Sweet” Lapus will topbill “The Beauty and the Sweet” in Music Museum. On September 28, it will be the turn of Aiza Seguerra and Charice Pempengco to stage their own back-to-back show at the Araneta Coliseum, “The Power of Two”.
As one writer says: Mga baklita versus mga tomboyita. So whose show do you think will people flock to and be the bigger hit? Well, it can be argued that Aiza and Charice have a the bigger venue: the big dome no less. But BB and Sweet’s show will be staged for two nights.
Our wish is just for the two shows to both be blockbusters and make money. All member of the LGTB (Lesbians Gays Transgenders Bisexuals) community should support both shows to demonstrate that they do really have some clout these days and to prove that the general populace support their advocacy and their difference in sexual preference.
