“I just want to be protected,” she said in an interview without mentioning why. “Ayaw ko talagang magsalita. I am not ready to talk. I don’t want to talk. I just want to be protected. I just want my children to be protected. ‘Yun lang masasabi ko. Siyempre may pinagdaraanan kami at hindi okay. But I’m trying my best to be okay for my children, to be strong for my children and for my family.”
That she won’t supply any details only leaves people speculating. Earlier, she hinted in social media that she’s a battered wife when she posted her fotos with bruises. But Raymart’s Kuya Randy already said in an interview at the presscon of “Raketeros” that Raymart is not the type who’ll beat up his wife.
“Kaming unang makakalaban niya kung gagawa siya ng ganun,” Randy even said. “We all know napaaway nga si Raymart kay Tulfo dahil pinagtanggol niya si Claudine.”
Most people who know Raymart also believe this. He has never figured in any altercation since he joined showbiz 24 years ago as a teener. He has shied away from controversies and refuses to talk at all about his separation from Claudine even if everyone already knew about it. It was Claudine who first admitted it, not him.
Raymart himself sent a statement to GMA News and denied Claudine’s allegation that she’s a victim of physical abuse. He never laid hand on her. He adds: “Marami ang makakapagpatunay na may kakayahan siyang gumawa ng kuwento. I strongly deny her accusations. Lalabas din ang katotohanan. Sasagutin namin ang lahat sa korte sa tamang panahon.”
