Kim Rodriguez's 'Kakambal Ni Eliana' Ends This Week, She's Now Doing Two New Movies

KIM RODRIGUEZ is happy that her solo show, “Kakambal ni Eliana”, is concluding this Friday, August 23, with consistent very high ratings during its four-month run. And now that it is ending, she’s quickly given a lead assignment in a new episode of “Magpakailanman” to be shot on location in Davao, directed by Gina Alajar who was the first to notice her acting potential in “Tween Hearts” two years ago.

Not only that, Kim is in the cast of two new movies. In the FDCP Sineng Pambansa entry to be shown in September, “Ano ang Kulay ng mga Nakalimutang Pangarap”, she’s the personal choice of writer-director Jose Javier Reyes to play the role of the lead character, a young yaya who’ll serve the family of Ryan Agoncillo and Bobby Andrews. As an old woman, she’ll be played by Rustica Carpio. Last year, she played the role of the young Judy Ann Santos in Joey Reyes’ “Mga Mumunting Lihim”, for which she got nominated as best new movie actress. In the ABS-CBN Cinema One Digitals Filmfest entry, “Chasing Boulevard” by new director Ces Damas, she’ll be paired with Kiko Estrada and TJ Marquez, both of whom she has also worked with in “Tween Hearts”.
