ALJUR ABRENICA is glad to be back on a primetime show with perennial ka-love team Kris Bernal in “Prinsesa ng Buhay Ko” that will replace “Binoy Henyo” in the 6 PM slot starting September 23. They’re proud and happy that their soap is the first GMA show to be using HD or High Definition to give brighter and clearer images for TV viewers. Is it true Aljur requested that the title of their show be changed from “Prinsesa ng Masa” to “Prinsesa ng Buhay Ko” so that he’ll also be included in the title?
He plays Nick Grande. He and Renz Fernandez have the same dad, Emilio Garcia. But Renz’ mom is Carmi Martin while his own mom is Maritoni Fernandez.
How would he describe his love team with Kris now? “Six years na kaming magkatambal since we won sa Starstruck 5. At this point, nag-mature na ang love team namin. Itong ‘Prinsesa ng Buhay Ko’ will start as a light romance, nagpapatawa, but later on, it will lead to drama.”
Aljur is also busy with his second album, with the remake of “Nanghihinayang” as its first single. This will be released in time for his Music Museum concert in November. His talent as a performer has been honed well in “Sunday All Stars” where he already won thrice as best performer. We heard that the rivalry between them GMA stars have become so heated that he once had an altercation with Mark Herras.
“Sabi kasi niya, ilang beses nang nanalo yang grupo nyo, yung Ligang Like. Sabi ko, tatlo. And he said, o, hanggang diyan na lang kayo. Yung kompetisyon namin sa ‘Sunday All Stars’, mas maganda kasi it helps train us perform. If you’d notice, wala nang nagkakamali ngayon kasi talagang lahat, nagre-rehearse na. Pero walang personalan sa amin, we’re like brothers and sisters.”
How’s his lovelife? “Okay naman. Happy pa rin kami.”
But we heard his girlfriend Kylie Padilla isn’t happy because she hasn’t had a new show since “Unforgettable”. She believes everything happens for a reason. Maganda nga attitude niya at sobrang understanding siya.”
