She has reason to be happy as the pilot week of her new GMA soap, “Akin Pa Rin ang Bukas”, rated very well. She finally appeared last Friday night as the grownup Lovelia Villacorta. The first week saw her nearly dying from her heart ailment after she was maltreated by her mom’s lover (Kier Legaspi). Her mom (Ina Feleo) left her at the gate of her dad’s (Gary Estrada) mansion in the middle of the rain. She lost consciousness and an open heart surgery was performed on her. This is how Gary confirmed through DNA testing that Lovi is really his own daughter so he took her home, much against the wishes of his mom (Liza Lorena) and raises her as a member of the Villacorta Family.
Lovi says she’s enjoying taping the show with her co-stars as she’s learning a lot from all of them. “Everyone is so professional kaya magaan ang trabaho. It’s also a joy to work with our director, Laurice Guillen, who’s really helping me interpret my role well. Kaya nga every taping day, I make sure na preparado ako for all my scenes para hindi ako mapahiya kay Direk at sa lahat ng co-stars ko.”
This week, her co-stars who also start in the show as child stars, Rocco Nacino and Charee Pineda, likewise make their first appearance. Both of them will make the life of Lovelia miserable as they will scheme against her and her dad.
