New TV Pres. Noel Lorenzana Thankful Their 'Weekend Do It Better' Campaign Off To A Good Start

NEW TV5 PRES. Noel Lorenzana makes it clear that Willie Revillame’s “Wowowillie” is making an exit next month when its contract with them expires. Is it true it will be replaced by a new musical variety show led by Ogie Alcasid? “No, we’re not even sure yet what will replace it,” he says. “Let’s just see what happens next. We don’t know yet. As of now, we’re first strengthening our weekend programming and after that, our primetime programming. We have no plans yet for noontime or daytime programming. But we’re reviving ‘Face to Face’ to be hosted by Gelli de Belen and Tintin Bersola as Amy Perez no longer wants to do it.”

They’re happy that the new shows they introduced last weekend all got positive feedback: “Showbiz Police”, “Tropa Mo Ko Unli”, “Killer Karaoke”, “What’s Up Doods” on Saturday, and the new “Pinoy Explorer”, “Who Wants to be a Millionaire”, “Wow Mali Na Naman” and “The Mega and The Songwriter” on Sunday. “We’re off to a good start with our Weekend Do It Better campaign and we hope magtuloy-tuloy ito to get better ratings as we definitely offer more exciting and more entertaining alternative programming on weekends,” adds Pres. Noel. “Aside from improving the content of our shows, we’re also investing to further improve our signal in various places.”
