Off camera, we all know they’ve both already found THE ONE in their respective lives: Dingdong has Marian Rivera while Bea has Zanjoe Marudo. Can she really claim that Zanjoe is Mr. Right for her?
“Mabait siya, very loving, I consider his presence in my life now a real blessing,” she says. “Mabait sa akin maging ang kanyang buong pamilya. My family also likes him as well. Kaya, sana, when the right time comes when we both feel we are ready for marriage, we’ll really be the ones to end up together. As of now, though, pareho kaming priority pa rin ang aming respective careers. Marami pa kaming gustong gawin dito and we’re still enjoying it. So mag-iipon muna kami para we’ll be prepared if and when we think of settling down. We just hope no one will take it against us if we choose our respective careers muna over marriage.”
So how is it working with Dingdong? “He’s a good leading man. A true gentleman. Very professional. Wala kaming naging problema at all even sa shooting of our kissing scene and we got along very well. Actually, I already heard a lot of positive stories about him from Zanjoe, kasi mas una silang nagkatrabaho in ‘One More Try’, and I’ve proven for myself na totoo yung mga kuwento niya about Dingdong.”
In “She’s The One”, Bea plays the role of Cat Aguinaldo, the breadwinner in her family. Her parents died early so she and her three younger siblings (one of which has down syndrome) grew up with their grandparents (Perla Bautista and Tony Mabesa). Dingdong is Wacky, her best friend who’s a morning show host on TV, and they’re associate owners of a laundry shop. Wacky doesn’t seem to be romantically interested in her, until Enrique Gil as David comes along.
David sees her by chance changing her car’s flat tire in the rain. She looks so sexy and he is captivated with her, taking a video of her on his cellphone. David then asks the help of Wacky to air the video on his TV show to locate “the girl in the rain”. When Cat and David start dating, that’s when Wacky realizes that he also has feelings for his girlfriend.
Directed by Mae Cruz, “She’s the One” opens in theatres nationwide on October 16. Also in the cast are Daniel Matsunaga, LJ Reyes, Marc Solis, RS Francisco, Guji Lorenzana, Erika Padilla, Garlic Garcia and the pretty Liza Soberano as Enrique’s own best friend who he also ignores but who turns out to be his own “She’s the One”.
