Ciara Sotto On The Rumor That She And Husband Jojo Oconer Have Split Up

CIARA SOTTO was at the presscon of “Madame Chairman”. She plays the role of her real life cousin Sharon Cuneta’s best friend. “Riot ang role ko rito kasi gusto ni Direk Joel Lamangan, masyado kong mabagal at malumanay magsalita, parang si Kuya Cesar daw,” she says. “So pinag-aralan ko talaga yung slow delivery ng lines ko to be convincing in my role.”

How’s her mother now, Helen Gamboa? It’ll be recalled that Helen resigned from GMA-7’s “Akin Pa Rin ang Bukas” due to health reasons. “She’s okay naman, resting. Grabe kasi yung vertigo niya and her doctor told her to rest muna for one year. Baka next year, bumalik na siya at makatanggap na uli ng trabaho.”

How come there’s a rumor that her four-year old marriage to TAPE TV exec Jojo Oconer has ended in separation? “Hindi naman totoo yan. We’re still together. Feeling ko nga, parang bagong kasal pa rin kami. Pareho kaming busy sa trabaho.”

How come they still don’t have a baby? “Ang dami na ngang naiinip. My mom keeps on asking me kung kailan kami magbe-baby. But it’s all up to the Lord. If He’d will it na magka-baby na kami, di salamat. But I’m just glad maraming excited na makita ang magiging baby namin.”
