Maricar De Mesa Ready To Be A Mom After Seven Years Of Marriage To Don Allado

MARICAR DE MESA has been married to cager Don Allado for seven years now but they’re still childless. “Noong una, we said we want to concentrate on each other first,” she says. “But now, he says nabo-bore na siya so we want to have a baby na. So we’re ready anytime. Sana nga, ibigay na ni Lord.”

Maricar is busy in both films and TV. After “Bromance” with Star Cinema, she now appears as Joey Paras’ evil stepsister in the current Viva Films hit, “Bekikang”. Both movies are directed by Wenn Deramas, who reportedly got confined in the hospital due to mild stroke. “Ay hindi. Kadadalaw ko lang sa kanya. Naospital siya due to pneumonia, not stroke.”

On TV, after doing “Kahit Puso’y Masugatan” on ABS-CBN, she’s now with GMA-7 playing the role of Stella in “Villa Quintana” that starts airing on Monday. “Suwerte nga ako dahil I can make lagari in both networks. Before ‘Kahit Puso’, nasa GMA-7 din ako doing ‘Sana ay Ikaw na Nga’, so now, back to GMA uli ako.”

Who played the role of Stella in the original “Villa Quintana”? “Si Isabel Rivas daw. I never got to see it. Dito, ako ang asawa ni Paolo Contis, whose role was originally played by Joel Torre. Ako ang pinili ng daddy niyang si Roy Alvarez for him to marry kasi galing din ako sa rich family. When we got married, anak na niya si Janine Gutierrez and I resent that kaya inaapi-api ko si Janine kasi I really thought anak niya ito sa real love niya, si Sunshine Dizon. Nagkaroon din kami ng sarili naming anak, si Rita de Guzman as Patrice. Lahat kaming buong cast, matagal kaming magiging magkakasama kasi the series is slated to run for 23 weeks. Aabot kami hanggang next year.”
