Some press people have already left when Solenn finally showed up. She says she has informed Regal Entertainment beforehand that she might be late because she’s busy taping for “Taste Buddies” of GMA News TV Channel 11 that day. “Nagpaalam lang ako sa GMA na a-attend ng presscon and they agreed but the location was in Alabang, sobrang traffic along the way kaya ako na-late,” she says.
So how’s it doing “Status: It’s Complicated”? “I enjoyed doing it kasi reunion namin ito ni Direk Chris Martinez. He was the very first one to direct me in a movie, in ‘Temptation Island’ two years ago. Ngayon ko pa lang nakatrabaho sina Eugene Domingo, Maja Salvador and Jake Cuenca and it’s nice to work with all of them kasi they’re all magaling. Enjoy rin ako sa character ko as Sylvia, a fashion designer who figures in a love triangle with Eugene and Paulo Avelino. Marami kong magaganda lines, all quotable quotes, that I deliver in the movie.”
Did she go sexy? “We have scenes shot on location in Boracay na naka-swimsuit ako and I also have a love scene with Paulo. Sexy siya because the movie is about love and sex, so we have to portray some sexy scenes na appropriate naman sa story.”
How’s her own status in real life? Is it also complicated like the movie? “Ay, no. Mine is okay kasi my boyfriend (an Argentinian business named Nico) and I have been on for two years now and okay naman kami.”
Solenn is also making an impression as Jade, the girlfriend of Cesar Montano in GMA-7’s primetime soap, “Akin Pa Rin ang Bukas” where they had a hot love scene. “Cesar is very much a gentleman and Direk Laurice Guillen handled the scene very well so okay lang lahat sa akin.”
