Did she get to see the original movie? “Direk Andoy Ranay said there’s no need and I prefer it that way na rin para hindi masabing ginaya ko lang siya,” she says. “I want to bring something new to the role na sarili kong enterpretation.”
In a scene in the film’s trailer, she is shown having a fierce confrontation with Cristine Reyes, who plays her dad’s mistress. How was it? “Actually, konti lang scenes namin ni Cristine. Most of my scenes are with Gabby Concepcion and Alice Dixson as my parents, and with newcomer Anton Revilla who’s my love interest, also with Ms. Dina Bonnevie who has a surprise role. But kinabahan ako in my scene with Cristine kasi I know she’s one of our best young actresses today and it’s my first time to work with her. Sa eksena, hihiyain ko siya sa harap ng maraming tao at tatapunan ko siya ng pie sa mukha. It’s good game siya at okay lang sa kanya ang ginawa ko sa kanya.”
So how’s her lovelife after being implicated in the Billy Crawford-Nikki Gil break up? “Well, I’m glad Billy cleared up my name na wala talaga akong kinalaman doon.
