“Nakaka-flatter na ako lang ang kinuha nila uli,” she says. “Happy talaga ko maging endorser ng Ginebra kasi since 1834 pa sila, halos 180 years na kaya very prestigious.”
So why did Ginebra get Marian as a repeater? “We want to celebrate our 180th anniversary next year in a big way, with a bang, so we got Marian. She exudes the sensuality and confidence of the ideal Ginebra calendar girl and she deserves to be our calendar girl for the second time,” says Mr. Elises.
Marian is wearing skimpy two-piece bikinis in all poses, styled by Liz Uy and shot by Marc Nicdao. They’re more daring than her FHM photos after she won in their last Sexiest Woman search. How come she agreed to wear something more revealing this time? “After FHM, I gained more confidence in myself. Nag-prepare din ako through proper diet and exercise.”
Someone quips: “Matambok pala. May padding ba yan?”
“Hindi naman,” says Marian laughing so loud. “What you see is what you get.”
The passing year 2013 has been a good one for her. Not only did she win at FHM, she also excelled in the projects she did on TV, “Temptation of Wife” and the big screen, “Kung Fu Divas”. So what’s in store for her in 2014? “I’ll soon start taping for my new soap, with Alden Richards as my leading man and Dominic Zapata as director. GMA also wants me to start a new sitcom but I begged off kasi mahirap ang role ko sa bagong soap kaya I want to focus on it muna. Ito raw ang magiging pinakamadramang role na nagawa ko in my entire career.”
Tentatively titled “Ang Sikreto ni Milette”, we think the first title “Pinakamagandang Babae sa Balat ng Lupa” has much better recall than this one. “Well, nothing is sure pa naman. Baka we can still come up with a more catchy title.”
How about the movie she’s supposed to do with BF Dingdong Dantes? “Gusto nga niya talagang gumawa kami ng movie next year, so we’ll see. But first, we have to look for the right material.” Read also, Dingdong Dantes On When He's Going To Marry Marian Rivera.
