Bubble Gang's' Boy2 Quizon Now A Producer With Neil Arce Of Arce Dairy Ice Cream

NEIL ARCE OF ARCE DAIRY ICE CREAM, one of the producers of “10,000 Hours” along with Boy2 Quizon for their company, N2 Production, says that all in all, they’ve spent about P35 million for the movie, making this the most expensive entry in the Metro Filmfest that starts today. Since the movie got an A rating from the Cinema Evaluation Board, they’re optimistic that it has a good chance of bagging many trophies come the filmfest awards night on Friday, December 27, even if Director Joyce Bernal is adamant in saying that she prefers their film to make more money first.

“Kaya nga sana, panoorin nyo ho ito agad sa first day pa lang, para hindi kami maalis sa mga sinehan the next day,” she even quipped during the presscon.

Neil and Boy2 earlier produced the comedy “Coming Soon” and they admit it’s a flop. “We learned a lot from our mistakes in that movie,” says Boy2. “Kasi sa title pa lang, akala ng mga tao ‘Coming Soon’ pa lang ang movie kahit showing na ito. They didn’t think it was actually the movie’s title. Also, sa poster, kaming buong cast, nakatalikod lahat at nakatingin sa langit. We thought magugustuhan ng tao yung novelty of our approach, but no one appreciated it. But this time, we’re optimistic na mas susuportahan kami dahil nakagawa kami ng talagang magandang pelikula. Sana kumita kasi gusto naming maging tuloy-tuloy ang aming pagpo-produce ng more local movies.”

As an actor, Boy2 is part of GMA-7’s “Bubble Gang”. “Hindi naman sa pagyayabang, 18 years na kami and I’m really happy and proud that I am part of the longest running gag show in local TV history.”
