No Movie About The Philippines Made It As Nominee In The Golden Globes

THE GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS, forerunner of the Oscars, have released their nominations and sadly, none of the three films involving our country (“Transit”, “Iloilo”, “Metro-Manila”) didn’t make it to the final five nominees in the best foreign language film category. Those who are lucky enough to make it are: “Blue Is The Warmest Color” (about a lesbian relationship which is the favorite and has created a lot of stir in Cannes) (France), “The Great Beauty” (Italy), “The Hunt” (Denmark), “The Past” (Iran) at “The Wind Rises” (Japan).
