Rachelle Ann Go as Gigi was given special attention by Mr. Mackintosh, saying she's "a beautiful beautiful singer with a magical voice." She was shown doing her audition piece, with her singing "The Movie in My Mind" (we didn't know she was asked to fly to London in the first week of November for this final audition) and you'd feel really proud of Rachelle. Gigi is just a major supporting role but we won't be surprised if she'd later on be asked to also play the role of Kim.
Rachelle says she really didn't expect she'd be hired as part of the "Miss Saigon" revival and she learned the good news only when Lea Salonga herself twitted about it. What's her initial reaction?

Mahirap ang songs pero mas mahirap young pagbibikini, so I will ask advice from Ms. Isay Alvarez who's the original Gigi. Bale 14 months ang contract ko in London. First time ko mahihiwalay sa family ko and to live by myself so I have to do my own laundry, cook my own food. March ang alis ko rito to start the rehearsals in London then we open in May. Nagpapasalamat ako sa GMA-7 for allowing me to go on leave to do this once in a life time chance to appear in London."
Before she leaves for London, Rachelle also intends to hold a solo concert in celebration of her 10th anniversary in showbiz.
