TUESDAY VARGAS started her career as an actress in the film "Keka" in 2003. She made many other films playing supporting roles, like "Liberated", "Lastik Man", "Let the Love Begin" and "Here Comes the Bride". She finally gets to play a leading role in "Ang Turkey Man ay Pabo Rin", a CineFilipino entry that got very positive reviews. It's now being released in Ayala cinemas nationwide by Atty. Joji Alonso of Quantum Films.
Written by Ronald Jabon and directed by Randolph Longjas, Tuesday plays Cookie, a self-employed Pinay who falls in love with an American, Matchu (Travis Kraft), who she meets online in a website called Kanoluvspinay. Matchu wants to take Cookie to the U.S. and the disparities in their relationship results into some very hilarious situations. Tuesday's performance is widely praised, along with her friends, played by Julia Clarete and Cai Cortez.
Direk Randolph is from Tacloban and his family's properties were destroyed by Typhoon Yolanda so most of his relatives are now staying with him in his condo here in Manila. Here's hoping his debut movie will make money to help him and his family recover from the setbacks caused in their lives by the typhoon.
