The story is set in the basement parking of a mall during the height of a typhoon when streets get flooded. People were stranded inside the parking area and they start to die one by one because of the presence of a malevolent creature that preys on them.
“Our concept is to set the story inside a place na scary talaga,” says Topel. “E, di ba sa parking area, very eerie, nakakatakot kapag wala ng tao at mag-isa kang naglalakad going to your car? Sa story, several people become the victims of a mysterious entity. Una si Enzo Pineda and his girlfriend, Sarah Lahbati,, who has finished all her scenes before her falling out with GMA. Then yung barkada nina Louise de los Reyes, Kristoffer Martin, Teejay Marquez and RJ Padilla. Tapos si Pilita Corrales, a rich lola with her gay nurse, Jan Manual. Then a pregnant woman, Chynna Ortaleza, at sina Kevin Santos, a truck driver, and his assistant, Betong Sumaya. And two security guards, Aljur Abrenica in a special participation and Dion Ignacio. Kasama rin sina Alvin Aragon, Dex Quindoza and Mona Louise Rey. They will all be terrorized by the creature played by Ellen Adarna.”
“Basement” is a perfect way of celebrating Valentine’s Day with your loved ones as you can enjoy hugging each other inside the darkened theatre while screaming and enjoying some scary scenes together.
