John Lloyd Cruz Plays The Mentally Challenged Son Of Unusual Parents In His Next Film

JOHN LLOYD CRUZ is elated that viewers warmly accepted his sitcom with Toni Gonzaga, “Home Sweetie Home”. After having no new TV show or movie after his blockbuster flick with Sarah Geronimo shown in March yet, “It Takes a Man and a Woman”, he’s happy that he’s now also shooting a new movie, to be directed by Chito Rono no less.

He will play a mentally challenged young man who’s the son of a lesbian (K Brosas) and a transgender (Mimi Juareza of “Quick Change”.) He’s paired with Jessy Mendiola but he figures in an unusual romance with his own doctor, Gretchen Barretto, who’s married to a lawyer, Richard Gomez. For sure, this will be another acting piece for Lloydie.

What can he say about the story that Anne Curtis slapped him in a bar after he pulled a prank on her? “Let it rest na lang. Hayaan na natin. We’re okay. Hindi na magandang pag-usapan yan. Bagong taon na. Maraming blessings na ibinigigay sa atin ang Diyos kaya walang rason para tayo hindi maging masaya.”
