Louise De Los Reyes And Enzo Pineda Now Have A More Mature Relationship

LOUISE DE LOS REYES and real life BF Enzo Pineda are both in the Valentine horror offering, “Basement”, but they’re not paired with each. She appears with Kristoffer Martin and Enzo appears with Sarah Lahbati as his girlfriend when they’re all trapped in the parking basement of a mall during a raging storm like Ondoy. They were seated together when we interviewed them at the presscon of “Basement”. So how are they doing now after they broke up and reconciled?

“Mas okay na kami ngayon,” she says. “Mas nag-grow ang relationship namin. Iba nang tingin namin sa love and commitment.”

“We’re more mature now,” he says. “Mas masarap ang pakiramdam kasi wala nang selos-selos. Mas focused na kami sa work namin and we understand na yung aspect ng work namin na separate sa what we are in real life.”

How come GMA won’t exploit their tandem and pair them in a show? “Siguro may ibang plans ang GMA for us kaya hindi kami pinagtatambal,” says Enzo. “Pero okay na rin yun kasi on cam, mas identified siya with Alden Richards pero pinaghiwalay na rin sila ngayon. Si Aljur (Abrenica) na ang katambal niya sa ‘Kambal Sirena’. Ako naman, I’m paired nga with Sarah dito sa ‘Basement’ and I’ve finished a new movie with Lauren Young, ‘Bigkis’, directed by Buboy Tan. There’s another movie offer na makakasama ko naman si Jake Cuenca.”

About Sarah, what does he think about her current conflict with GMA-7? “Siempre, I feel sad about it. Sayang kasi she’s a good actress. But I believe makakabawi pa rin siya given the chance, kasi bata pa naman siya. Hopefully, maayos na nila ng GMA ang problema so she can help us promote ‘Basement’ dahil maganda ang role niya rito.”

As for Louise, she’s the member of a band in “Basement”. “Bandmates ko sina Kristoffer Martin, Teejay Marquez and RJ Padilla nang ma-trap kami sa basement. Matapang yung character ko rito. Kasama namin si Chynna Ortaleza na pregnant at may kasamang isa pang anak and I help protect them from the creature who’s attacking all of us stranded doon sa basement.”

She’s also busy training for her role as a mermaid in “Kambal Sirena”. “I play two roles, si Lara, yung girl na may mga paa, at si Alona, the mermaid. Panay ang swimming lessons ko these past several weeks at magaling na ako pati sa underwater swimming at pag-dive from 20 feet.”

What can she say that she’s being compared to Anne Curtis who’s playing “Dyesebel”? “Siguro that cannot be helped kasi pareho kaming sirena. At siempre, mas malaki ang pressure sa’kin kasi she’s a bigger star. Basta I promise to do everything that they’ll require me to do para mapaganda ang show dahil ayokong mapahiya ang mga nagtiwala sa’kin na akong kinuha as ‘Kambal Sirena’.”
