TEEJAY MARQUEZ won the best new male TV personality award for his role as Nathan in “Tween Hearts”. He now gets to do his first movie, “Basement”, where he plays a teenager trapped in the basement parking of a mall along with Louise de los Reyes, Kristoffer Martin and RJ Padilla.
“Mga member kami ng isang band and we all get stranded dahil sa bagyo at baha,” he says. “Hindi namin alam, kasama pala naming stranded doon ang isang evil creature played by Ellen Adarna who’ll terrorize us all.”
Teejay came to the presscon of “Basement” while his father was still lying in state at their home after succumbing to liver cirrhosis at the age of 45.
His parents separated when he was only one year old and his mom moved to Japan. “May sarili na rin po siyang pamilya roon at may mga kapatid ako sa kanya aged 14 and 13, but I’ve never met them.”
How about his mom? “Minsan ko pa lang siya nakita, when I was 18 years old.
What’s his full name? I consider Kuya Germs as my mentor in showbiz at regular din po akong napapanood sa kanyang ‘Walang Tulugan’.”
