Alden Richards Honored To Be Nominated As Best Actor In The Golden Screen Awards Alongside Dennis Trillo, John Lloyd Cruz, Etc.

ALDEN RICHARDS is getting very positive feedback for his portrayal of Yago in “Carmela”. At first, Marian Rivera as Carmela tries to resist his charms. But when she learns that he is related to Roi Vinzon, the man who oppressed her mom Agot Isidro years ago, she relents and thinks of using Yago to take revenge on the evil Roi. Alden as Yago is the very loving son of Jaclyn Jose and he becomes her personal caregiver when she tries committing suicide. Most viewers find this quite endearing.

“Masarap kaeksena si Mommy Jane (Jaclyn’s real name) kasi napakagaling niya,” says Alden. “Ibang-iba ang role niya rito kaysa sa role niya as Donya Charito sa ginawa naming ‘Mundo Mo’y Akin’ na mataray siya’t malakas ang dating. She’s really so versatile.”

Alden feels so fortunate that after four shows (Alakdana, My Beloved, One True Love and Mundo Mo’y Akin), he quickly got the chance to be the leading man of GMA’s Primetime Queen, Marian Rivera. “Sobrang bilis talaga ng mga nangyari sa career ko and I want to thank GMA for trusting in me. And I’d like to thank Marian for accepting me. It’s a joy to work with her kasi grabe ang energy niya. Kahit walang tulog at pagod na, very positive pa rin at walang reklamo kaya bibilib ka sa kanya. She inspires all of us on the set.”

What can he say about his best actor nomination in the coming Golden Screen Awards? “It’s definitely a big honor kasi puro magagaling ang mga kasama kong nominado like Dennis Trillo, Bong Revilla, John Lloyd Cruz, Dingdong Dantes and the rest. Maihanay lang ako sa kanila, malaking karangalan na para sa akin.”
