ALDEN RICHARDS can’t believe the very warm reception given to him and Marian Rivera when they promoted “Carmela” at the Panagbenga Flower Festival in Baguio. “Sobrang dami talaga ang mga taong dumating at alam na alam nila kung ano ang nangyayari sa show, proof that they really watch ‘Carmela’,” he says. “Alam nilang umuwi na si Yago, my character, sa town nila, ang Santa Maria, at nagpunta na rin doon si Carmela pero hindi pa kami nagkikita kasi bumalik ako ng Manila para asikasuhin ang papers ko sa school para makapag-transfer ako sa probinsiya. Matutuklasan naman ni Marian na ang best friend niyang si Jennica Garcia is the bastard daughter of Raymond Bagatsing and matutuklasanan naman ni Laurice Guillen na si Krystal Reyes is the bastard daughter of her husband Roi Vinzon.”
He’s also happy to get the chance to work in a short film with the Nora Aunor. “Si Direk Adolf Alix po ang nagdirek nito and it’s really an honor na makatrabaho ang superstar. Sana next time, full length movie na ang pagsamahan namin.”
How come he has not been linked to any girl since he joined showbiz two years ago? “Having a lovelife is a choice and for me, it’s not a priority as of now. Sayang naman ang magagandang career chances that are coming my way kung pababayaan ko lang. Anyway, ang love naman, laging nandiyan lang. It’ll come at the right time. As of now, for me, hindi pa right time. Mag-girlfriend man ako, I won’t have the time to spend with her dahil sa sobrang pagka-busy ko sa career ko ngayon.”
