Sitti will be performing for patrons and guests of Casino Filipino (CF) Pavilion on February 20; CF Olongapo on February 27; and Casino Filipino Parañaque on February 28. On the other hand, Nyoy will hold his shows at Casino Filipino Bacolod in L’ Fisher Hotel in Bacolod City on February 14; CF Davao on February 15; CF Cebu on February 16; CF Hyatt on February 20; and CF Tagaytay on February 21.
Sitti and Nyoy’s series of shows in Casino Filipino this February are all on free admission, on a first-come, first served basis. All shows start at 8 PM. Bong Quintana, PAGCOR’s Assistant VP for Entertainment, said the shows of Sitti and Nyoy are Casino Filipino’s way of giving its patrons a month-long Valentine treat. “These two exceptional artists will be singing our all-time favorite love songs during their shows. Both Sitti and Nyoy are well known for their unique brand of music and we are sure that the audience will have a great time,” he added.
Sitti, who successfully revived Filipino’s love for Bossa Nova shares that she enjoys performing in Casino Filipino especially during the love month. “I'm very glad and I feel privileged that Casino Filipino always gets me to sing for their audiences pag-dating ng February. Suking-suki na ako and I'm just really thankful na hindi sila nagsasawa,” she enthused.
According to the Bossa Nova Queen, she will be singing songs that people in different relationship situations can be able to relate to during her Casino Filipino concert tour. “In our upcoming Valentine shows, I hope to cover all experiences of the heart – like longing for someone, being single, wishing to be with someone and being in love. I will also sing my classics like Para sa Akin and Tattooed on My Mind plus cuts from my new album Bossa Love,” she added.
When asked about her concept on love, Sitti replied it is a gift that needs to be cherished. “My wish for all the couples out there is for their love to abound and endure. To the singles, I was like you for a long time. All I can say is God is preparing someone for you so do not lose hope or faith in yourself. When the time is right and you are fully ready, love will come,” Sitti said.
Apart from the Bossa Nova Queen, singer-songwriter Nyoy Volante will also set the mood for love at various Casino Filipino branches this February. The multi-talented singer was named Best Male New Artist during the 16th Aliw Awards and has also received other citations in the Awit Awards, Annual Year-Ender Excellence Awards, Buyer’s Choice Awards, People’s Choice Awards and Annual Asia Pacific Excellence Award, among others.
During his Casino Filipino celebrity tour, Nyoy will be serenading casino guests with some of his music hits and covers of timeless love songs. “It’s very fortunate that most of the songs we’ve popularized have something to do with matters of the heart. Thank you PAGCOR for giving people in love a home this Valentines!” he said.
The Celebrity Tour is part of Casino Filipino’s entertainment offerings for February. With the theme “Carnival of Hearts”, the love-filled events of Casino Filipino will showcase some of the country’s OPM icons, popular bands, and PAGCOR’s homegrown artists.
