GMA-7 BIG BOSS Atty. Felipe Gozon was at Solenn’s contract signing and we asked him if he’s really the Lolo or Grandpa of the controversial Deniece Cornejo, as she claimed. “No, we’re not at all related,” he says. “Apo siya ni Red Cornejo na pinakilala sa’kin when I received an award. Tapos, nagpakuha ng picture at lumabas na lolo na raw ako, pero hindi. That’s all there is to it.”

Why did they renew the contract with Solenn? “Look at her, she’s so beautiful, and really tries hard to speak Tagalog, so bakit naman namin pakakawalan yan?”

And GMA exec Lilybeth Rasonable adds: “In her last soap, we noticed her improvement not only in Tagalog but in her acting, so we want to prepare her for better, bigger roles in the future. Right now, isinali muna namin siya sa ‘Adarna’ as the Ibong Adarna who becomes human as Diana. Later on, we’ll pitch some projects para sa kanya. At saka si Solenn, madaling katrabaho, hindi maarte, walang kung anu-anong demands so we want to continue working with her.”
