Is Jean Garcia About To Wed Her Non-Showbiz Businessman Boyfriend?

JEAN GARCIA’s last film was “Sayaw ng Dalawang Paa”, for which she won the best actress trophy at the Golden Screen Awards and Gawad Tanglaw, and the best supporting actress trophy at the Urian Awards. “Nakakatuwa,” she says. “The same role pero lead actress doon sa isa at supporting naman doon sa isa. Rare achievement ang ganun, di ba?”

She’s now busy playing the mother of Kylie Padilla in GMA-7’s “Adarna” and hosting the talk show “Love Hotline” on GMA News TV, but she accepted doing the movie “Sitio Camcam”. “Mahihirapan ako sa schedule ko, but si Direk Joel Lamangan ang director and he brings out the best in his actors kaya tinanggap ko. Also, I miss doing movies and after reading the script of Jerry Gracio, na-in love ako sa character that I’m supposed to play, a palengekerang barangay kagawad who runs the video karera shops in their place na squatters area at first wife ng local kingpin played by Allen Dizon.”

How true is the story that her daughter Jennica will soon tie the knot with BF Alwyn Uytingco? “I don’t think that’s true at all. Close kami ng anak ko and I’m sure kung magpapakasal siya, siguro naman, she’ll inform me first. Ano, uunahan pa niya ako?” she laughs.

We did hear that she has a new non-showbiz boyfriend. So are they planning to get married soon? “Two years na kami, he’s a businessman, but no, we have no plans of getting married at all.”
