Marian Rivera Gives First Batch of Bancas She Solicited for Bantayan Island Farmers Affected by Yolanda

MARIAN RIVERA went to Bantayan Island in Northern Cebu the other day to personally give to the fishermen there the bancas that she acquired for them through the Kapuso-adopt-A-Bangka Pro­ject. “I’m so thankful that after only a month, nakakuha kami agad ng maraming bangka and I’d personally like to thank all the donors and sponsors for their generous help”, she says. “Maraming salamat po sa lahat ng nakibahagi sa proyektong ito. Marian also had a great time promoting “Carmela” with leading man Alden Richards in Bicol. I feel so fortunate that GMA gives us the opportunity to tour the country and meet our supporters na talaga namang sinusubaybayan ang ‘Carmela’ gabi-gabi,” she says. “Sa February 22, Saturday, abangan nyo naman kami for our ‘Carmela’ promo tour sa Baguio as part of their Panagbenga Festival.”
 
This week in “Carmela”, Alden as Yago will go back with her mom, Jaclyn Jose as Trixie, back to their town in Sta. Maria so he feels sad that he won’t see Marian as Carmela anymore. There, he meets his Uncle Dante (Raymond Bagatsing), the brother of his Lola Fides (Laurice Guillen). What he doesn’t know is that Carmela will follow him there to fulfil her plan of taking revenge on his Lolo Fernando (Roi Vinzon), who stole the image of the Virgin Mary. Everyone is amazed at the beauty of Carmela, especially Dante who will eventually get obsessed with her. By chance, Amanda (Agot Isidro) sees Carmela and thinks of her daughter, but Carmela is called by someone with her current name, Catarina. Carmela finds out that her friend Alliyah (Jennica Garcia) is the bastard daughter of Dante while Janine (Krystal Reyes) is the bastard daughter of Fernando.
