SAM CONCEPCION is projecting a more mature image in his concert, “No Limitations” (the title of his hit carrier single from his album “Infinite”), on March 15, 7pm, at Music Museum. Since people have known him as a child actor, he’s going to show that he’s now a young man who can do various other things to entertain his audience. He says there’ll be a sexy segment in it.
“This is my first concert in four years,” he says. “The last time was when I celebrated my 17th birthday concert na bagets pa ako. Now, I’m a grownup so I’m very excited with this concert.”
Produced by Bernice Alonzo’s Hills&Dreams Events, the show will be directed by Paolo Valenciano, with choreography by Kevin Intal and the La Salle Dance Company and Marvin Querido as musical director. Will he be inviting his inspiration to the concert, Jasmine Curtis Smith? “I hope so, sana available siya and we will make her sing.”
He has plenty of guest stars, led by KZ Tandingan and Tippy Dos Santos with whom he’ll do a duet of their song “Dati”. Why didn’t they hold the show in a bigger venue?
“We want it to be more intimate so I can be closer to my fans. Also, I want to start my journey in a small venue then work my way up to a bigger one.”
He’s now also doing VJ work for MYX and taping for the new soap, “Mira Bella”, that will launch Julia Barretto. “We’ve been taping since November at masaya kami sa set. I’ve worked with Julia noong mga bata pa kami nine years ago, sa ‘Walang Kapalit’ with me as the young Piolo Pascual and she’s the young Claudine Barretto. Dito sa ‘Mira Bella’, Enrique Gil and I are cousins who become rivals over Julia.”
Tickets to his “No Limitations” concert are available now at Music Museum, tel. 721-6726, Robinson’s Dept. Store and some National Bookstore Branches, sponsored by Belo, John Robert Powers, Black Water, Bench, Bubble Tea, Chefs Noodle Korean Resto, Toni & Guy, Universal Records, Gerry’s Grill & Skechers.
