Sharon Cuneta Gives Way To Ogie Alcasid On TV5's Primetime Shows

SHARON CUNETA’S “Madam Chairman” will have its final episodes this week and she wants to thank all her co-stars and Direk Joel Lamangan for making it all a pleasant experience for her. She also wants to thank all the viewers who followed the show during its five-month run. “Mami-miss ko lahat ng mga naging katrabaho ko rito from October to February kasi naging maganda talaga ang samahan naming lahat,” she says. “I will also miss the character I play, si Bebeth, kasi she made me appear more human in the eyes of the audience.”

Replacing it starting March 3 is another tawa-serye, “Confessions of a Torpe” starring Ogie Alcasid, Alice Dixson, Gelli de Belen, Bibeth Orteza, Bayani Agbayani, Mark Neumann, Jojo Alejar and more, directed by Soxy Topacio. Ogie, Bayani and Jojo will be special guests in the last episodes of “Madam Chairman” to officially introduce “Confessions of a Torpe” to TV viewers. As for Shawie, she’ll rest for a while then tape a new show, “My Pirated Family”, which will reunite her with ex-BF Richard Gomez.

Meantime, Aga Muhlach’s hit game show, “Let’s Ask Pilipinas”, will not fade out like “Madam Chairman” but will be extended for six more months since both viewers and advertisers continue to support it. When it ends, Aga will then start taping a soap with Derek Ramsay, “My Brother’s Keeper”.
