Sunshine is glad to be back on the big screen in “Sitio Camcam”, where she plays Allen Dizon’s second wife. “Na-miss ko ring mag-movies kasi my last film was ‘Sundo’ pa six yearS ago. Also, I’m happy to be reunited with our director, Joel Lamangan, na huli kong nakasama in ‘Sabel’ in 2005 pa and for which I got several acting nominations in my role as a lesbian doctor na nakarelasyon ni Judy Ann Santos.”
And we thought some stars are afraid to be under Direk Joel because he’s a terror on the set? “You have nothing to fear naman as long you come on time and prepared for the day’s work. Ngayon, kung hindi ka na professional, darating kang ni hindi mo alam ang lines mo and what’s expected of you, e dapat lang na matakot ka nga sa kanya.”
She feels sad, though, that she had to turn down the chance to work with Nora Aunor in “Dementia”. “Kasi ang hinihingi nila, two weeks straight of shooting out of town in Batanes. E, hindi ako puede kasi may soap nga ako at may ‘Sitio Camcam’, but I’m still hoping that someday, makatrabaho ko rin si Ate Guy.”
