He’s paired with Sarah Lahbati (also from GMA) in the made-for-TV movie on Studio 5, “More than Words”. We’re told Sarah plays Alice Dixson’s daughter who was given up for adoption and they’ll meet again accidentally years later, with Carl as Sarah’s leading man. Alice’s role in the telemovie is so different from any thing she has done before as she stutters when she speaks. This is directed by Jon Red.
Then Carl is also in the new TV series, the Tagalog adaptation of the hit Hollywood TV series, “Pretty Little Liars”, directed by Mac Alejandre. He plays the leading man of Chanel Morales and Stefanie Rowe. How lucky can Carl get, right?
But Carl has to pay a price for leaving GMA-7 for TV5. We heard he has since broken up with Kris Bernal, who still has no new project in sight after her “Prinsesa ng Buhay Ko” ended three months ago. We heard she and Carl have actually been separated for over a month now. But come to think of it, Kris and Carl never admitted in public that they’re officially on. They just keep saying they’re close friends who are exclusively dating. Well, this is not new for Kris, who also never admitted she was going steady with Jay Perillo (wonder where is he now) and only confessed about it when they’ve already broken up.
