THREE NEW SHOWS have started taping on GMA -7: “Dalawang Mrs. Real” starring Dingdong Dantes, Maricel Soriano and Lovi Poe; “Nino” introducing the young love team of Miguel Tanfelix and Bianca Umali; and “My BFF” with child stars Jillian Ward and Mona Louise Rey, with Manilyn Reynes and Janno Gibbs.
“Nino” and “My BFF” will provide wholesome and child-friendly programs to its viewers. Particularly interesting is the moving and heartwarming story of a boy who will inspire other people to remain hopeful in the midst of life’s challenges in “Nino”. The show, directed by Maryo de los Reyes, is filled with good family values and positive messages about love, faith and hope that will encourage and inspire viewers most especially the kids to become loving and optimistic at all times. Playing the title role is one of Kapuso Network’s talented teen stars, Miguel Tanfelix. As Nino, he’s a 15-year old boy with the intelligence of an 8-year old boy. He will become a beacon of hope and inspiration to his town mates and prove that miracles exist with the help of his “Tukayo”, a Sto. Niño incarnate to be played by child star David Remo.
Joining the cast are Tom Rodriguez as Jonathan, Niño’s hardworking father; Katrina Halili as Hannah, Jonathan’s wife and Niño’s kind-hearted mother; Lotlot De Leon as Leny and Neil Ryan Sese as David, adoptive parents of Niño; German “Kuya Germs” Moreno as Kapitan Pete, the Baranggay Captain of the community; Dante Rivero as Don Pedro, Hannah’s father; Bianca Umali as Angelica, Niño’s bestfriend; Gerald Napoles as Obet, David’s friend; Ces Quesada as Mrs. Santos; Luz Valdez as Tia Epang, David’s aunt and Lola V’s bestfriend; Renz Valerio as Rafael, Niño’s brother; Julian Trono, as Mat-Mat, one of Nino’s friends; Vincent Magbanua as John, Nino’s friend; and Ms Gloria Romero as Lola V, Niño’s carefree grandmother.
Niño will introduce the “Naynay Commandments”, a set of values and good manners that will teach everyone the importance of being responsible and honest individuals and how these commandments can be applied in everyday life. These Naynay Commandments will also inspire parents to raise their children to be hopeful and loving like Niño all the time.
